A population pyramid is a bar chart that shows the distribution of the population by age and gender. In a population pyramid, the Y-axis represents different age groups in the population, and the X-axis represents the male and female population, with males on the left and females on the right side of the axis. The shape describes the population composition of a country. The students of LSAI were explained the concept with the help of a model of the Population Pyramid made by rolling newspapers. This also helped the students to understand the concept of reuse of paper inculcating in them the sense of sustainable development.
