HIGHLIGHT: The workshop on Global Competence was held on 18 February 2026 and was conducted by Mr. Suraj Nath and Ms. Krittika Hazra. The session was thoughtfully designed to equip educators with the knowledge and skills required to navigate today’s diverse and dynamic learning environments. It examined themes such as culture and identity, the visible and invisible dimensions of culture, the Identity Flower framework, stereotypes, the practice of suspending judgment, and the identification of microaggressions in classrooms. The facilitators adopted a highly participatory approach, incorporating reflective tasks and Mentimeter quizzes to stimulate dialogue and critical thinking. The atmosphere remained collaborative and intellectually engaging, enabling participants to gain deeper insights and practical strategies for fostering inclusive, culturally responsive classrooms.
