EVENT HIGHLIGHT: The morning session for participants from various schools focused on the design and functioning of assignments. It was concise, informative, and led by experienced resource persons. In the post–snack break session, teachers were grouped by subject into separate rooms to explore the use and application of formative assessment. The session was engaging and informative.
The had a session focused on the process of conducting the Formative Assessments for Performing and Visual Arts.
Later they also focused on assessments and their evolving approaches. We discussed ways to strengthen assessment for learning (formative assessment) and explored practical strategies to gauge student understanding more effectively.
A key highlight was understanding how tools like exit tickets can be used to capture students’ learning quickly and efficiently, helping teachers make informed decisions about the next steps in instruction.
