In their ICT class, the students of Class 9 Rose worked collaboratively on projects related to advanced technologies. Before the summer vacation, the ICT students were divided into two groups, and each group was assigned a topic on futuristic technologies—namely Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). Both the AR and VR teams prepared digital presentations using Canva and PowerPoint. They explained the concepts along with their developmental timelines. The basic hardware and software requirements, as well as the flowcharts of the working processes, were included in their presentations. Each technology has its own pros and cons, which the teams explained in detail. They also discussed the bright future of AR and VR.
To understand public awareness and effectiveness of these technologies, the students conducted surveys. They represented their findings using various types of graphs. As an extension of the project, each team developed a game to complement their presentation. The teams concluded their presentations by emphasizing the ethical concerns associated with using these technologies. They reiterated that individuals should be well-informed about these concerns before engaging with AR or VR.
